Case Studies - Events

The variety of event work that we deliver for clients varies in nature and complexity, but every project is delivered with passion and pride.

The following are just a small selection of recent Events delivered by the Department 28 team…

International Sales Conference

The brief was to deliver a three-day International Sales Meeting for a global audience of 250. The remit was extensive in that we needed to find the location, develop the theming, manage the delegate invite and registration process, develop and deliver the ground programme, and manage all elements of the production on-site. After extensive research a spectacular European location was selected. We were given approximately six months to pull the programme together.

Our clients' feedback was:

I have been trying to think of how it could have been better, but I have failed, it was perfect. WT Intl. President

International Tradeshows

Before our appointment to deliver its international tradeshow programme in June 2018, the client had utilised suppliers local to each tradeshow to design and construct their tradeshow stands. This approach was neither time nor cost-efficient and lacked consistency.

Our approach has been to centralise all design and construction and to develop a modular approach to accommodate the differing sizes of booth and product requirements dictated by the client.

We were appointed to deliver the European show programme in 208 and have continued to do so ever since.

Working with you on this trade show has been a delight. MO, Intl Marketing Manager

Kick Off Meeting

When an international audience attends a three-day internal Kick Off meeting at their HQ office located in the UK, it’s nice if they can get out of the office to do some bonding with the colleagues and perhaps to see little more than just the airport, office and hotel. This was our brief.

We arranged for an evening tour of a local internationally renowned distillery and a master class in cocktail making followed by a catered dinner and cocktail tasting.

Great night, I have developed a new skill to take home. CT,Sales Director

Awards Dinner

At the end of a three-day international conference the client wanted a memorable awards dinner where the top performing people of the year could be recognised and honoured.

We selected an off site location, a palazzo, that we could take exclusively. Our team worked on transforming a standard square dining room into a glamorous and glittering gala dinner venue including a spectacular stage.

We worked with the client to source and tailor an array of award awards and rewards and our on-site team managed the and delivered super slick event.

It was a great event, the best we have ever had, well done!. CL, Exec Team

After Party

No self-respecting Awards Dinner can take place without an equally spectacular After Party. To add an element of surprise to the evening we built the party venue behind the stage in glass walled semi-permanent marquee. At the end of the awards the main presenter revealer tow ‘secret doors’ in the walls of the stage that gave access to the party area. Once in the party area our guests were entertained by a headline DJ flown in from the UK, professional dancers, free flowing cocktails, chill out areas and party mirrors. The sign of a good night being had by all was that the curfew had to be extended by 45 minutes at the clients request.

I knew it was going to be a good night but I wasnt prepared for it being spectacular . NR, Intl. Event Manager

Team Building

The brief was to deliver a fun and interactive team building event for an international audience of 200 focussed around the theme of ‘Driven to Win’. When selecting the venue for the event we were mindful to include a large outdoor space to accommodate a large team building activity.

Our chosen execution was cardboard go-kart building and racing. The event was amazingly successful with many comments about it being the most entertaining team building activity that people had done.

I normally hate team building and try to avoid it…. but this was great.
